What Software do Fortune 500 Companies use for Web?

Updated: Apr 28, 2023

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and the competition

Well, these companies do not use WordPress, Joomla or Drupal as far as I know. Although Ceros, a platform similar to AEM, does use WordPress as a base I was told. Still Ceros seems to be a good competitor to AEM and from what I can see they are constantly innovating. I am very impressed by their website and presentation.

VEV is considered to be clean. I wasn't impressed by their website design due to taking up the most valuable web real estate to show a header design forcing me to scroll down for information.

Although the cost is high, Adobe Experience Manager appears to be around $650,000 per license and for full implementation the cost could be as high as $2,000,000, if your getting 1 million pageviews a month but worth the money. The best competition for AEM at that price range appears to be BrightSpot although I haven't tried it in order to compare.

A good explanation video is here: https://youtu.be/mmUGCrUwDRo.

Also, it appears that the trend for all inclusive systems like AEM is working down to the lower cost arena with these two options; https://www.vev.design/ and https://www.ceros.com/.

I assume and am very excited that the older CMS (Content Management System) systems like Joomla, WordPress and Drupal will expand into this type of format or an extension to the core will allow for the same functionality in the near future.

Finally, Adobe Experience Manager is a content management system that helps businesses manage and deliver their digital content across various channels, such as websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms. It is a powerful platform that allows users to easily create, manage, and publish content without the need for any coding knowledge.

One of the standout features of AEM is its ability to handle full PSD files, which are Photoshop files. This means that users can upload their fully designed website or app files, complete with images, graphics, and layout, directly to AEM and then use its intuitive interface to edit and manage the content as needed.

AEM is also known for its robust personalization capabilities, which allow businesses to create targeted content for specific users based on their preferences, behavior, and other data. This can help improve engagement and conversion rates, as users are more likely to engage with content that is tailored to their interests.

As for competition, there are many other content management systems available in the market, such as WordPress, Drupal, and Sitecore. However, AEM stands out for its enterprise-level features and integration with other Adobe products, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
